Roxburgh Barns Self Catering Cottages

A warm welcome awaits you at Roxburgh Barns Cottages. Three cosy comfortable self catering farm cottages in the Scottish Borders, with breathtaking views over the Cheviot and Eildon hills.

Situated between the rivers Tweed and Teviot, two miles from the beautiful Borders town of Kelso. Walk to the rivers and watch the abundance of wild life - deer, otters, herons, rabbits and pheasants or walk to the famous Junction Pool and watch fishermen salmon fishing.

The farm is in the rural stewardship scheme where we have grown cover crops to attract wildlife. Hedges replanted now allow birds including yellow hammers to nest. Grass margins around fields encourage pheasants partridges and lapwings.

Fish for trout on the River Teviot only a short walk from the cottage. Weekly permits available.

Within the Borders there are seven fine historic homes to visit, each with something interesting and unique to offer. These are Floors Castle, Abbotsford, Bowhill, Drumlanrig, Manderston, Mellerstain, Traquair and Thirlestane. Alnwick famous for its gardens is only 3/4 of an hour away and well worth a visit.

The three cottages are situated on Roxburgh Barns, an arable farm near Kelso.

They have wonderful views over the rolling Border country and each can accommodate up to 5 people.
